Nicole is a full-time occupational therapist at StoreySmith. She graduated from the University of New England in Portland, ME with a passion for working in pediatrics. Before getting her master’s degree, Nicole volunteered as a youth cheerleading coach for 7 years striving to provide her athletes, ages 5-14, with a foundation of skills to build upon. As an occupational therapy student, Nicole had the opportunity to complete one of her fieldwork rotations working with children on mental health within their school environment, as well as community participation. Additionally, Nicole completed a rotation working with survivors of TBI on increasing ADL independence and (re-)establishing leisure activities. Nicole is excited to help kids thrive in their natural environments through play-driven therapy with a client-centered focus. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys hiking, paddling, camping, running, crocheting or other craft activities, cooking, and spending time with friends and loved ones.

Yasmeen obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Southern Maine and her master’s in occupational therapy from the University of New England. Before getting her master’s, she worked as a behavioral help professional, offering in-home support for children with disabilities and their families. In one of her fieldwork rotations, she worked in a rehabilitation program for clients recovering from a stroke, helping clients regain independence in daily activities. She completed her second rotation at Long Creek Youth Development Center. There Yasmeen worked with the youth, improving social, emotional, and functional well-being through engagement in occupations. Outside of work, Yasmeen enjoys reading, nature walks, arts and crafts, card games, and spending time with loved ones.
